What is Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)?

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) provides safe, reliable transportation for individuals who need assistance getting to medical appointments but do not require emergency ambulance services.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve Mid-Michigan, including Saginaw, Bay, Midland, Genesee, and surrounding counties. We also provide long-distance transportation throughout Michigan for medical appointments at major hospitals and specialty clinics.

What types of appointments do you provide transportation for?

We provide transportation to:

Do you provide long-distance transportation?

Yes. We regularly transport clients to major hospitals throughout Michigan, including Henry Ford Health, University of Michigan Health, and many other regional medical centers.

Scheduling

How do I schedule a ride?

You can schedule transportation by calling us during business hours. We recommend scheduling as early as possible to ensure availability.

How far in advance should I book?

Whenever possible, schedule your ride at least 24 to 48 hours in advance. Same-day transportation may be available depending on our schedule.

Can someone else schedule my ride?

Yes. Family members, caregivers, social workers, case managers, nursing facilities, hospitals, hospice agencies, and insurance coordinators can schedule transportation on your behalf.

Can I schedule recurring appointments?

Absolutely. We can arrange recurring transportation for appointments such as dialysis, therapy, or other ongoing treatments.

Transportation

Do you transport wheelchairs?

Yes. We provide wheelchair-accessible transportation using vehicles equipped to safely transport manual and power wheelchairs.

Can I bring a caregiver or family member?

Yes. A caregiver or family member may accompany you if space is available. Please let us know when scheduling your ride.

Are service animals allowed?

Yes. Trained service animals are always welcome.

Can I bring personal medical equipment?

Yes. Walkers, canes, oxygen equipment, and other medically necessary items are welcome. Please let us know about any larger equipment when scheduling.

Insurance and Payment

Does Medicaid cover transportation?

Many Medicaid beneficiaries qualify for transportation benefits. Depending on your coverage, transportation may be arranged through your Medicaid health plan, transportation broker, waiver program, or another authorized agency.

Do you accept Medicaid Waiver transportation?

Yes. We work with Medicaid Waiver programs and coordinate transportation as authorized through participating agencies.

Do you work with nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities?

Yes. We provide transportation services for skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and other healthcare organizations.

Do you provide Workers’ Compensation transportation?

Yes. We provide transportation for approved Workers’ Compensation claims when authorized by the insurance carrier or case manager.

Do hospice agencies arrange transportation?

Yes. Many hospice agencies coordinate transportation for eligible patients. Contact your hospice care team to determine your coverage.

What if my transportation isn’t covered?

We offer affordable private-pay transportation for individuals who do not qualify for insurance-covered transportation.

Day of Your Ride

When should I be ready?

Please be ready at least 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your ride. Advance notice helps us better serve all of our clients.

What if my appointment runs late?

Our team understands that medical appointments don’t always stay on schedule. We will coordinate your return trip based on your transportation arrangements.

Are your drivers trained?

Yes. Our drivers are trained to provide safe, courteous, and professional transportation while assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
